Xuất phát từ mong muốn của chủ đầu tư về một hành trình ẩm thực xuyên suốt và giàu ý nghĩa, dự án cải tạo hướng đến việc tái kích hoạt khoảng sân rộng của công trình— khu vực trước đây chỉ được sử dụng như bãi đỗ xe và gần như đứng ngoài câu chuyện kiến trúc. Từ hiện trạng đó, nhóm thiết kế đề xuất “kéo dài” mặt đứng thông qua việc chồng lớp các cấu trúc của hệ mái, cầu thang và hành lang, vừa tổ chức lại lối tiếp cận, vừa tạo nên những khoảng dừng chuyển tiếp, nơi thực khách có thể chậm lại để cảm nhận ánh sáng, không khí và cảnh quan đặc trưng của Đà Lạt trước khi bước vào không gian ẩm thực. Nhịp điệu lặp lại của hệ khung gỗ mang đến chiều sâu thị giác, đồng thời gợi nhớ cấu trúc nhà sàn vùng cao. Tinh thần thủ công tiếp tục hiện diện trên mặt sân, nơi gạch được lát tỉ mỉ theo hoa văn lấy cảm hứng từ họa tiết truyền thống của người K’Ho – một nguồn tham chiếu văn hóa quan trọng đối với chủ đầu tư. Những can thiệp nhỏ ở khoảng sân phía trước, thay vì sự thay đổi của kết cấu chính, là cách chúng tôi chắt chiu những ấn tượng đầu tiên, và từ đó mang lại nguồn sinh khí mới cho toàn bộ hoạt động của nhà hàng.

Inspired by the client’s vision of a continuous and meaningful culinary journey, the renovation focuses on reactivating the building’s front courtyard—an area previously used as a parking space and largely disconnected from the architectural narrative. In response to this condition, the design proposes to “extend” the façade through layered additions of roofs, stairways, and corridors. These elements reorganize the approach while creating transitional pauses, allowing visitors to slow down and experience the light, breeze, and distinctive climate of Da Lat before entering the dining space. The repeated rhythm of the timber frame adds visual depth while subtly recalling the structure of highland stilt houses. A spirit of craftsmanship continues across the courtyard surface, where bricks are carefully laid in patterns inspired by traditional motifs of the K’Ho people—an important cultural reference for the client. Rather than altering the primary structure, these modest interventions at the front courtyard are intended to shape the first impressions with care, bringing renewed vitality to the overall life of the restaurant.
